Kayak Lake Mead
Moonlight Paddle
Join us on an evening paddling trip that is like none other! There is nothing in Las Vegas that
compares to kayaking on quiet waters at sunset, and watching as the moon slowly rises overhead.
Meet up at our shop in Boulder City to stock up on any last minute supplies before heading
to the beach at Lake Mead. Here we will stage our tandem kayaks and canoes, have some mandatory safety
instruction, set up our navigtional lights, and then head out.
Enjoy the sunset while kayaking toward the Boulder Islands, where you can take a moonlight
swim or just relax on a blanket while gazing at the stars.
Bottled water and light snacks will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own appetizers, cheeses
& crackers (no alcohol, please). Kayaks and canoes have plenty of room for blankets,
coolers, binoculars, and any other items you may need.
This is a magical trip that shouldn't be missed. Whether you are a local, or just visiting for a few
days, come experience Lake Mead by moonlight. It's a memory you won't soon forget!
NOTE: This trip is highly dependant on weather conditions and the location is subject to change at our discretion.
If we feel conditions are unsafe, we may choose an alternate location such as Black Canyon, which is more protected.

Details: Combine sunset paddling on Lake Mead with a moonrise and stargazing. Water
conditions are mostly flat, but can be choppy depending on wind, waves, and weather.
Equipment: Tandem kayaks used for safety. All equipment is provided, along with dry bags.
Optional: Hiking and swimming can be enjoyed.
